Tips? travis Jul 12th, 03, 06:10 PM I understand it goes away when you get older tongue.gif 69RS/SS350 Jul 12th, 03, 06:20 PM Travis, that was cold! I'm having a little problem with the transition from daylight to night racing...new on the box. When I get it right tho (soon) my car is gonna be hard to beat. Two new personal records last night (ET and MPH). -.002 in the finals cost me the win. BPOS Jul 12th, 03, 06:22 PM Originally posted by travis: I understand it goes away when you get older tongue.gif Yes, completely. MangeMD Jul 12th, 03, 08:39 PM I can get you some meds for that! tongue.gif ZZ430DropTop67RS Jul 12th, 03, 08:59 PM Mike, -.002 = ouch! I'd say congrats on the personal bests graemlins/beers.gif travis Jul 12th, 03, 10:23 PM Sorry, couldn't resist :D I definately have more trouble night racing...all the other track lighting really messes with me, but I have a bit of night vision trouble anyway. Do you wear glasses? This last pair of glasses I got are slightly tinted and it really helps me focus at night. Toby Keen Jul 12th, 03, 11:28 PM Travis is right. Shooters glasses (yellow tint) can help. .002 is mighty close so you don't have far to go. The only thing that can happen in that amount of time is you can win or loose a drag race. Bummer. Daytona Yellow 69 Z/28 Jul 13th, 03, 11:53 AM Mike, Sounds like you are pretty close. The only advice I can give is 1) set the delay in the box to cut a .510-.512 light. This way you have a little lead way if you are anxious. Beleive me you will win a heck of lot more rounds cutting .510 lights then you will with .498 lights. 2) Pay VERY close attention to stage the car the same and very shallow every time. If you roll in just 1 inch deeper you will go red every time. 3) Different tracks have different roll outs, so in Denver you will need to add or remove delay from the box. By the way my wife is off on thursday so we should be able to head out a little earlier, so we can get better pit parking. Dont want to be pitted way out in Wyoming. :D Nick 69RS/SS350 Jul 13th, 03, 06:00 PM Nick, guess you noticed I am back after my little time out. Yeah, I know, it is gonna take some practice on the box. Now, that I don't have to fix or replace something every week, I hope to make more progress. 130mph is my next goal! Not to mention consistency on the tree... graemlins/thumbsup.gif |
