Guys,
This is probably a dumb question......but here goes.

Did the 67 RS cars have the rocker spear moulding as well as the RS molding on the quarter, door and fenders?

I have been looking at a few pictures of these cars and I don't see the rocker spears.

I have had to replace my outer rockers, (nothing was left) and I was wondering if there is a templete for the spears. I have the AIM, but I can't seem to understand the starting reference line?

Thanks for any help or wisdom

Bax...thanks, I guess that answers my first question. What town in NC do you live?

Anyone have any ideas for the placement or a template!

You have to mount a plate to snap the "spear" on to. Getting that plate in the right place is not easy with no holes to work from.

I would place the spear so there is approx 1/8 gap below the RS mouldings that sit above- assume you have those? Thats how mine fit up...I think they may touch in some places...

You will then have to calculate where the mounting plate goes. I would do a hole at each end and trial fit...A template or measurement likely won't produce the results you are looking for....

Was out working on my car this am...my spears set about 1/8 below the top surface of the rocker (may be a more accurate description). The mounting plates have some play in them and as I recall the spear could move up flush with the top of the rocker..(my orig holes survived) in my case it would then start to rub on the other pieces....hope this is helpful :clonk:

Thanks Guys! I guess when my car comes back from the body shop (in primer) I will try to figure it out. I was hoping some way to get it right while body work was still in progress.
