Hi! I'm new to writing to this site but have been a member for about a year. My name is Ed and I live in Vidalia, Ga. my site log in is SILVER6T9RSSS, because that is what I have. I bought it off of my brother in 2000, it is an original RS/SS car from CALIFORNIA, (my brother lives in FRESNO and owned the car over 20 years and I have had it for 9 now, it has the "L" in the cowl tag #). The car was originally Cortez Silver with Black Vinyl top and Delux interior with a 350 with a powerglide and factory air and a 10 bolt rear. It currently has a 391cubic inch small block stroker motor and 12 bolt posi rear with 3.73 gears. The transmission was a turbo 400 with a B&M shift kit in it when I got it from my brother but I just recently replaced it with a KEISLER TKO600 5 speed kit (i am still trying to get the timing readjusted now that the trans has been swapped) as the second gear of the turbo went out and I decided to put in what I wanted. When I got the car from my brother it needed some body work as wellas some final assembly as he started a restoration job on it but never finished, he had it painted Glacier Blue but I decided to repaint it Silver as that was the original color but went with a GM new 2 part paint code that actually was never used on car it was a wheel color. For the SS hockey stick stripe I also went a little different instead of BLACK and decided on CANDY TANGERINE. I would attach a photo of the car but am not sure how to do it. I have done all of the work to the car myself with the exception of the body work an paint.
