Where have you been ?

By now most of us have done some vacationing this summer and have some pics they can share of somewhere interesting or scenic. Maybe it was last year or longer it doesn't have to be recent if it was somewhere you enjoyed then post up. :)

We spent some time in Colorado this year. We stayed in Granby (near Rocky Mountain Natl Park. We went white water rafting on the Arkansas river (Browns Canyon), played around at Winter Park, visited Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak and wrapped it up by visiting Mesa Verde Natl. Park's cliff dwellings.

We took over 500 pictures. I started going through and taking some out but got sidetracked.

This year I had a business trip in the UK and found that airfare was less to go there than the east coast!! So everyone got to go to London.
My kids 12 and 15 actually loved the trip. We only did London but there is enough cool stuff to do there. Funny thing that I never really thought about but the boys were amazed at how old some of the buildings were. And as an big extra bonus the weather was great for 7 of the 10 days. Probably 75-80 and sunny.

We went to Cabo in May. Here are some pics from our room.

A few years back, when I was still dating my Wife, we took a trip to Nassau and stayed at Atlantis in AUGUST! I know it sounds crazy to go to a place like that in August... It was their off-season, the Hotel wasn't crowded, the pools weren't heavily occupied, and there was so much to do just at the Hotel. We had a great time, went snorkeling one day, saw a comedy show right at the Hotel - Atlantis is similar to Vegas where the attraction IS the Hotel. I think about that trip every August, and now that my Daughter is 3, we're planning to go back and take her there soon. One of my favorite vacation spots; and the flight from CT wasn't much longer than flying to Florida.

Went to St. John U.S.V.I. last month for our 25th anniversary. We were there 10 years ago and had to go back. Don't have pics to post right now, but we stayed here. http://cloud9villas.com/Pebble_Beach/more_of_PB.htm

It was during their Carnival time so there was a lot going on in Cruz Bay, the main town on the island. We stayed on the quiet side of the island most of the time but ventured into town a few times to party.

Did I mention Cruzan rum is $4.99 a bottle? ;)

Rode the Wisconsin Ducks ( retired military amphibious vehicles ) in Wisconsin Dells.
Then watched the Milwaukee Brewers play the Atlanta Braves last week.

Don't have pics but last nite we saw Alice Cooper.
Man that guy puts on a good show !

This summer is being spent working on the Camaro. Last summer we went to the Azorean isle of Pico which is part of Portugal. We wife is a native Azorean and we have a 4th generation family house there. Took around 2800 pictures and posted only the best 1000 or so.

We have gone lots of other places inside the US by RV. Great way to travel with family and spend quality time with the kids and the wife.
