Is there supposed to be a bracket of some kind that stops the side glass blowing out at the top at speed on a '69 Camaro?? I used to own a '69 Firebird & seem to recall that there used to be a plastic coated piece of metal about an inch long on the A pillar that the glass used to "tuck" under when the door closed. Is my memory correct & if so should my '69 Camaro have them? Any idea what they're called or who could supply them if they are needed, thanks.....Nige

My 69 has 2 "blow-out" clips for the door glass..... one at the front edge and one at the top near the rear quarter glass.

OOPS... I retract that statement. They are more like just window guides, since they are inside the window when it's rolled up.

My 77 on the other hand, had a "blow-out" clip and it was outside of the window when rolled up.

The plastic blow-out clip at the front upper corner (photo below) is outside the glass, and the plastic overtravel bumper 2" forward of the top rear corner of the door glass is inside the glass. The rear one is there to prevent the rear of the side glass from damaging the roof rail w/strip and the vertical w/strip on the front edge of the quarter window when you slam the door. :)
