Has anyone ever used their spray washer to sandblast? Ran across this item recently.....http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_8520_8520&issearch=2260....and was wondering if this worked very well. I am not interested in blasting a body but mainly for blasting subframe and other metal parts for rust and paint removal. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks......

Jerry,
There are several reviews on that website on the item--it apparently works great with the right type of sand.
I'm going to look into this as well. I wonder if it removes paint or just rust/scale?...

Yeah....I read the reviews but sometimes you can't count on them to be completely true. So that is why I'm checking with the forum to see if anyone else has used this product. I will trust the advice received here more than their reviews.
Would like to hear what you find in your research.
Thanks....

One of the Powerblock shows on Spike did an episode where they used one of those on one of the projects. Seemed to work for them and what they were using it for.

Suction type wet systems are slow and you will use probably 3 x the media at least, you will also need a rust inhibitor to put through the system as the metal will start to flash rust almost immediately.

I saw a guy do a car trailer once. Came out nice but left a hell of a mess!
