Turbo Daytona's were the pocket rockets. I'd be looking at both the '66 Ford Galaxie Q-code and the '63 Ranchero.

I had an '85 Daytona. Piece of crap engineering-wise but ran good and fun to drive!

The 66 442 sounds like it might be a good one to get cheap...

Some decent deals on there the 56 Oval Window VW is a good buy and the 1963 Skylark Convertible is a good buy too. I would like to have both of them. I better not look anymore or I will end up with another project.

I'm dangerously close to there (well within a few hours). Id love to go look at that candy store, but id probably end up in a divorce. I wonder how much "not cheap" is for that camaro..

Those cars are not really in Gilroy, his place is about 30 minutes east of Gilroy almost to Hwy 5, about 100 miles for you Pete.

Royce that Buick and the Oldsmobile F-85 Jetfire with the turbocharged 215 alum V8 would be way cool scores. Both are susposed to be numbers matching...

I agree and they are not priced bad at all. From the pictures they appear to be in decent shape. Just the wrong timing for me, both are cool cars though. To find a classic convertible of any type for under $3K is very rare.

Agreed!!! I wouldn't mind the #'s matching 72 formula with the 400/4spd
