It has been said that Zora said that there are only two factory built ZL1 Corvettes but there are 3 ZL1 Corvettes that have been around for many years.
yellow, white, and orange.
The yellow one is at Roger's Corvettes and seems to be well documented.
The white one is in the Kevin S. collection
The orange one is an auto trans car that was in the hands of the original owner for many years.
From what I have read on them, there is some debate on the documentation of the orange one and the white one.
They had ZL1 engines since new but it is not clear if they were factory built with the ZL1 engine.
Chevy engineering also had both a white and an orange ZL1 powered Corvette used as test cars and both have been in the old magazines.
Neither are the same orange or white production Corvette that exist today.

I believe it should be that 2 were sold to the public, not two total made.
