hey guys,

So Im converting to throttle cable and went and pulled off a 70s pedal setup that come out of the firewall just like my 67. thing is, that the guide/bushing etc is plastic. So, I put it in the camaro and it fits great, but i keep wondering about 35 year old plastic on such a "critical" part.

do you guys think this plastic is ok? or should i try to reuse the metal peice from the camaro pedal? im not even sure i could get that off without mangling the pedal and i dont want to do that.

67 used a metal guide with bushings. 68 and 69 used the plastic. If plastic is not cracked it will probably be alright.
