Has anyone had their original outside mirrors rechromed and been able to save the date-coded mirror glass?

there is a guy who is on team chevelle, can not remember his name, do a search and you can find it, anyway yes he restores them, I had one done and it is awesome Chuck

He told me 'around' $150 for a side mirror, if the plating doesn't take alot of work. He doesn't get mirror glass resilvered, doesn't think it comes out very good. However, he has access to repo date code mirror glass. I'm going to send my two side mirrors and my inside mirror. I'll advise how it looks.
