My 69 z28 is on rotisserie how should the seam sealer look around the new floors and trunk pan? and what color should the underside be?

all of the seam sealer should be brushed on and covers roughly 1 -1.5 inches wide. Factory sealer was not put on to look pretty but to cover every metal to metal seam.

What can be used to replace the seam sealer? I may be replacing a tulip panel that has seam sealer on the seams. Where can I get a replacement for use after I replace the panel?

I used 3M -08370. I bought from GMH (Holden) in Australia, so the part number may not carry over in the US, but I reckon it should.

3M #08656 is another also. Site is for reference only. I get all my supplies locally. http://www.autobodysupply.net/3M-08656-BRUSHABLE-SEAM-SEALER-p/3-m08656.htm

They do have supplies but many, if not more supplies can be purchased at a local auto body supply store that serves the area. That's what they are there for. No wait, no shipping. And if they will deliver it's even better. I don't know an auto body supplier that does not deliver. At least in my area.

Check the tread about the 1st gen camaro assembly.I think it stated that the seam sealer was applied but not brushed, and would flow when the sealers were baked, and workers would smooth out any spots that look like they were going to get in the way of the car's assembly.

It was definitely brushed into place.
I originally had brush marks all over mine including where the assembly guy wiped his brush clean on the cowl. Bog blobs that were far too big from simply smoothing out. ;)

The application gun had a brush tip attachment on the end. Think JohnZ has posted a pic of it before.

You dont want a sealer that flows at all or it wont look right.

I have replicated the factory look exactly with a terry cloth towl. All the brushes I have tried didnt quite replicate the brush marks right, they werent coarse enough.
