I'm restoring my '69 Camaro Z/28 (Garnet Red, Ralley Sport, Endura, Black Vinyl Top, Deluxe Black Interior w/ Fold Down Rear Seat). My Ol' Z has a 09C Build Date (September 19th, 1969 to be precise). Unfortunately, the original Holley 4053 went away way back in 1974 (or so). The CARBURETOR ASM is shown in my Camaro Assembly Manual as being installed at the Norwood Final Assembly Plant (UPC Z28 Sheet A3). Therefore, my question is this: Given the car's final assembly date, what date Holley 4053 should I be looking for as a correct date coded replacement?

Bruce,
I'd be looking for a 983 or a 984, or possibly a 991.
There might be somebody on the site here with a car built the same week as yours for verification.

Sounds like a very nice car!!.
