This pic is from 1971-72, real Z but doesn't look like the hood has "302" on it was it an option or did all of them have it?

Or do you figure the original owner had a regular hood on the car and had it replaced with a cowl hood and figured the numbers weren't on the car?

Few cars actually came with the ducted hood so it was probably added to this car and the owner didn't bother to add the emblem. If the hood was included from the factory they included the emblem. It's just what you thought.

Yes.

The ZL2 cowl induction hood was not available until December of 68. I assume earlier built Z28's came with the flat hood. They then could have installed a cowl hood as stated above.

Yeah, so what is the build date of this car? Any idea? Do you still know the car?

I don't suppose anyone recognizes the car. The stripes down the back would certainly be a dead give away (I am assuming in 72 this was cool). I know it's a long shot, just thought I would ask.
