I am reinstalling the reverse lockout linkage to my 69 Z with an M20. Had an incorrect BB rod.
My question has to do with the correct installation of the lower rod. The rod is maybe 16-18 inches long. I know where each end connects, but as I look at the rod, it has a more pronounced curve/bend at one end, then it's pretty much straight.
Does the end with this bend face the tranny / reverse linkage, or toward the frame mounting bracket?
Make sense?
As long as I'm at it, laying the SB ann BB rods next to each other, they look pretty much the same. SB seems to be slightly longer. Anyone care to comment? The BB rod was making it tough to shift out of reverse when I trial installed it, so I got a SB repro rod to try.
Other comments or help is welcome!!
