I just rebuilt my carb and when I went to hook the linkage up I realized that throttle cable is 2 – 3 inches to long. I did a little research and found out it should have rod linkage (69 Z). I know it was binding before I took the carb of but hadn’t got around to figuring out why until know. So, now I know I’m going to have to replace it, should I go with original type linkage, cable or an aftermarket cable?

If its an original resto or close then go with the rod.

If its a pro street, pro touring or hot rod then go back with the cable its alot easier to hook up.
