could anyone say that the springs that come on trick flow heads (tfs30400002) would work with comps 284xe cam 507/510 lift. I already know that the perfect thing would be to use comps springs but I already have the parts and trick flow said it would be fine. Do springs have to match exactly or are there some tolerances. I also have a set of springs that come on TFS 30400003 heads. would these be better any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

This is a question for Comp. Cams and Trick-Flow.

Call Comp (or read your cam card and info) and find out the recommended spring type, lift spec.s and seat pressures.
Call Trick-Flow and get the seat pressures, lift capacity and other limitations from them.
Compare the two recomendations and make all decissions based on their info.
Don't forget to review rocker selection, push-rod type and retainer types! They will change the geometry of the valve train.
