26 bids with 5 days to go.. Gee, these guys should learn how to play auctions.
That's right, bid early and give everyone a chance to beat you.:p

Use a sniper, or at least wait till the closing minutes..

Perhaps. But that does not explain why I got over 450 for two center endura brackets legitimately. Or the other ridiculous prices paid in a bidding war. It's simple: stop bidding. Free will.

Being NOS, these shocks could be 30-40 old. Seems they'd have a shelf life. Seems the seals could harden and crack, and internals could corrode, etc.

Thoughts?

Up to $1500 :) these will be used for a museum car or a trailer queen. who cares if they work, as long as they look good. :D

It really blows my mind someone would actually set a reserve for these higher than 1500.00, I am going to go out on a limb and say that is probably where the auction will end 1500.00, lets see what happens:yes:

People wanting the Concours trophy/status will pay whatever for them, I believe.

i got 1,000.00 for my orig shocks from my z and that was 7-8 years ago. So 1500 doesn't surprise me

For the record...42 bids and final US $2,276.00

I have a used set on the rear and they have leaked some oil so seals apparantly a concern. However I have an NOS set from about '76 on the front and no problems..

I bid $42 and lost a single new rear a couple of weeks ago...noone interested in a single including myself. The seller indicated it stroked like new ;).

I couldn't wait to toss my originals in the garbage. Replaced them in '69 with Mr. Gasket 50-50 Super Air Shocks. They are still there. Pumped them up to 85psi this spring and have been turning 1.6 sec 60 foot times. The CE lift bars never did that, and they are still there.
Well, maybe they're still in my moms basement. The original brackets that the shocks bolt to are still there, hmmm.
