I have a 1984 camaro z28 with a 5.0L engine and I want to put my edlebrock 750 cfm carburator w/ a preformer rpm manifold. What problems will I encounter, if any?

You will encounter hood clearance problems. As well as potential problems passing whatever smog tests your state requires. You may also need to replace your distributor, if it computer controlled, since the computer also interfaces with the carb.

When I comes to choice for a carb and manifold with a 305 I would lean more toward an Edelbrock Performer and 600cfm carb, the RPM and 750 would be a bit much for a stock or near stock 305.

Hood clearance is definitely an issue. I ran a Weiand Stealth on my '84 Z, and I needed to use one of those triangle edelbrock wire air cleaner thingies. A friend had the same car with an Edelbrock Torker 2 intake, wich was lower, but would not be a good choice for your application

I am running a Edelbrock on a stock Q-Jet manifold with an adapter plate. It fits under my hood just fine. If you change to a Edelbrock Performer intake, it will fit even better. I agree with Steve, 750 is a little large for an 05'.

i just made that swap.
there was a little clearance problem but i solved that with the triangular high flow edelbrock aircleaner. the only problem with that is the aircleaner does not filter the best. its ok but i was thinking of adding a cowl hood so i could put a k&n filter on. the only problem with that is $$$. the 600 is the choice i made and i would recomend it. call edelbrock if you have any other questions.
