Hey Everyone,
We just launched a new online photo contest called Performance Therapy (http://www.performancetherapycontest.com/). Basically we're trying to promote the message that despite the ups and downs you hear on the daily news, gearheads should go out and enjoy their cars - it's the best form of therapy you can get.
All you have to do to enter is send in a picture, and you can win all this:
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b307/inkahntrol/PT.jpg (http://performancetherapycontest.com/prizes.php)
The loot -
Runners up get a t-shirt.
Six category winners get a $200 gift certificate to one sponsor.
The grand prize winner gets a complete system from all NINE sponsors, including Hotchkis Sport Suspension, Baer Brakes, Yokohama Tire, Rushforth Wheels, Flowmaster Exhaust, MSD Ignition, Red Line Oil, Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems and Hot Wheels; enough to practically build a pro-touring car!
So here's the deal: go to the site (http://www.performancetherapycontest.com/) and upload a picture of you enjoying your car with a sentence or two describing what automotive activity makes you happiest.
Categories include:
Car show, racing, garage scene, family and photochop and action
Vote for yourself or have friends vote for you by clicking your image. Each computer can vote once. Put your shot on facebook with the link supplied, and you can rack up even more votes.
Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for supporting the hobby! Performance Therapy (http://www.performancetherapycontest.com/)

Hotchkis Sep 30th, 09, 03:29 PM http://www.performancetherapycontest.com/images/01PT_Header2.jpg
We want to see all kinds of cars, clunkers, race cars and daily drivers, whatever makes you happy.
It's not too late for you to send in a car photo for your chance to win all the great parts and toys.
Post up a picture of you and your ride and let all your friends know they should vote for you.
There's still more than a month for you to promote your car at car events, on flickr, facebook, twitter, and myspace.
If you don't want to enter, check out the cars on the Performance Therapy (http://www.performancetherapycontest.com/entries.php) site and vote for the ride you think best represents the joys of car ownership. If you vote, maybe a Camaro can be the winner!

I'm glad so many of you are participating. It can take a day or two before the pictures go up. If you don't see them after that, resubmit, or PM me.

DHH Nov 13th, 09, 05:40 AM I still have not heard from anyone at the contest. I found out by going to the website. What happens next?
keypilot Nov 13th, 09, 06:48 AM very cool don!!! congrats, so what do you get? I had 105 votes. no where close to winning. ironically, the car that won doesn't need any of the prize stuff. (grand prize)
71maligreen Nov 13th, 09, 07:00 AM very cool don!!! congrats, ironically, the car that won doesn't need any of the prize stuff. (grand prize)
right it looks like it is a finished race car!!?? you would think they would pick a car that their products would enhance not one where the winner would throw the stuff on ebay the day after he gets it!!????
DHH Nov 13th, 09, 07:08 AM I have not even heard from anyone at the contest yet, the rules say at least a $200 gift cert. from a Sponsor. I found out when I went to the website to see how I was doing. A Pleasant suprise.
Calpantera Nov 13th, 09, 12:48 PM That is cool Don, I never even entered 'cause I am lazy. Good for you!!
DHH Dec 16th, 09, 07:47 AM Has anyone heard anything since the SEMA announcements? The website & facebook page are unchanged since then. I still have not heard from anyone regarding my prize. My emails to the website go unanswered. I wonder if some of the Sponsors bailed on Hotchkis or something else went wrong after SEMA?
DHH Dec 20th, 09, 07:20 AM No response yet, just like this thread
Red Rocker Dec 20th, 09, 07:36 AM Hey Don..I sent them an e-mail asking who the runners up were, but
they never responded. The grand prize winner hangs out on pro-touring.com
I wonder if he ever collected.
DHH Dec 20th, 09, 07:50 AM Something must be wrong. Hotchkis has been a stand up company in all my dealings with them. Maybe they were left holding the bag?
TheDon Dec 22nd, 09, 06:10 AM Checking for info through my contacts...
Don
DHH Dec 22nd, 09, 06:51 AM Thanks Don, I emailed Hotchkis directly and recieved a fast response, but both times was told marketing would get back to me, nothing yet.

YouTube- Performance Therapy Contest Winner Announcement
I'm the guy in the garage scene. But that was Nov 4th. It's March. Still no prize.
DHH Mar 30th, 10, 03:41 PM Going on 5 Months and counting. If the website wasn't still up, I'd have given up by now.
Well today I checked and the website was not renewed as of 04/02. No response from anyone in over 2 months. What a BUMMER.
sako Apr 8th, 10, 04:50 PM right it looks like it is a finished race car!!?? You would think they would pick a car that their products would enhance not one where the winner would throw the stuff on ebay the day after he gets it!!????

jr68 Apr 8th, 10, 05:08 PM What an outfit. You would think even an email to you Don. I guess anyone can put up a contest if they have no intention of awarding the prizes.
Good PR :noway:
clwilcox33 Apr 8th, 10, 06:28 PM Really sorry to hear that Don. You still never heard from Hotchkis either?
The Hotchkis people had a (PR I'm guessing ) lady e-mail me. Everytime I emailed back she would reply that things would be handled later in the week or soon. I finally just deleted her contact info, as everything she told me never came true. I'm pretty dissapointed, I have a bunch of Hotchkis products on my car and never had an issue with them. Just a phone call/email to say "sorry the contest fell apart because" or "there is a delay because..." would have left a better taste in my mouth than to announce I'm a winner and then nothing. Check the PT Facebook page for yourself, nothing in months except me asking "anyone heard anything?"
clwilcox33 Apr 9th, 10, 10:32 AM That really sucks man. Another reason why I don't like sponsors or anyone posting contests on here. We have no control over them, but you heard about it here so it makes us look bad.
This is a Hotchkis thread, you'd think they would have subscribed to it! It shines no I'll light on TC.
jr68 Apr 9th, 10, 04:03 PM It shines no I'll light on TC.

I find no fault what so ever in TC
Now Hotchkis on the other hand . . . .
Spiraling downward on the credibility scale
DHH Apr 29th, 10, 11:57 AM I'm happy to say that today an envelope arrived from Hotchkis with the gift certificate inside. It's for Hotchkis products, so whatever the story may be with the lack of communication, and the six month delay, the Hotchkis people honored their promise.
John Hotchkis is a man of his word, and for that I thank him. :D
zlek131 Apr 29th, 10, 01:02 PM Amen!
jr68 Apr 29th, 10, 06:02 PM Yes but still it's hard to forget the 6 month thing.
