A quick question. What rear end should be stock on the 275 horse equipped 68 Camaro coupe. I have the Canadian docs, so I know it was a 275 horse.

Probably a 10-bolt 3.36, just off the top of my head?? I want to say that only the SS cars got the 12-bolt unless it was optioned

Go over to the big NOVA rearend site and run the numbers.

My 68 sport coupe came with a 275/327 a powerglide and a 10 bolt open axle with 3.08 gears.

In 67 if the car was custom ordered with certain posi ratios, it could have a 12bolt even with a powerglide(mine does). Not sure about '68 though.

I am sure it had the Powerglide. I currently has a 10 bolt, so I am thinking 308 or 336.
Thanks guys.

'67 327/275's came stock with 10 bolts until late Feb and then got 12 bolts. Of course gears choices were RPO coded and could have been added to any order and with the right gears as already mentioned it included the 12 bolt. 68's also got a 10 bolt unless RPO M20 was ordered and that got you the 12 bolt...

Just to be clear, I believe DjD is talking about the L30/M20 when he says the 327/275's started getting 12 bolts in late Feb. The powerglide 327/275 cars did not.

You're right Russ, a typo, I intended to say "...and then M20's got 12 bolts..."
