Was wondering if I could buy a 69 center console and would that fit in there? Of course without the big black plastic on the bottom, maybe a boot to cover that. Well let me know.

Never heard of putting a Mega shifter in a 69 console. I don't think that is a direct fit, to answer your question. I would ditch the console idea and use the plastic bottom that comes with the shifter.

I had to severely modify a 68/69 console to fit the Hurst Shifter, there was a post showing the build, have since changed the 3 gauge pod to the 4 gauge pod cause I have put the Autometer Speedo and Tacho in the cluster.

Yea i have the black plastic base on it right now. But I really like the look of the center console in it with guages. I just am holding off cause I didnt know if i could even fit that in there. Well this helps, thanks. If anyone ever did put one in, please post a pics please thanks.
