I'm having an issue with steering columns. I installed a new 68 firewall, went to install my new 68 steering column to find out it does not fit. I go to the catalog to see that the 68 firewalls are shipped with a 69 style cut out for the column. I thought I could just change the cover plate. The diameter of the shaft is smaller then the one used on 67-68. So the question is where do I find a column of proper length, diameter and one that is not keyed ignition that will work for this car?

The car also no has powersteering which it originally did not. I am now understanding the scene from Frankenstein, when he comes to life and the excitement of the mad scientist. Three steps forward and two steps back.

Try this place. I bought a '69 tilt column for my Camaro. They may be able to figure this out for you.
