They are absolutely the worst. My 6 month old one has been down for 5 weeks. If it has not been one excuse it has been another. And they don't care. They cannot get answers from their own service center as to why they cannot fix it.

Five weeks is absurd for a company that brags about being American made. When the service company first came out and took the guard off the belts were rolled because the motor was installed an inch offline from where it should have been.

Absolutely stay away from this brand. This was no cheap compressor, over $1,500. My 60 gallon Sears lasted 10 years till I decided to "upgrade", what a mistake, I sold the sears one after 10 years for $75 less than I paid for it and it still worked flawlessly

Just a word of warning to others, don't spend your hard earned money on Champion thinking you will get a good compressor with a good warranty.

I have to laugh I just got off the phone with the factory tech and he tells me " I have only been involved for two weeks, what do you want"

What do I want, how about a compressor that works!

I will update you on this ongoing saga.

Wow, I was thinking about buying a champion, but went with a CH off ebay.

It is unbelievable. And the fact that they could care less that I have incurred the expense of renting a shop compressor for the last 5 weeks in astounding

I have been looking for a new air compressor for a while! I have never heard of "Champion". No matter how much it costs, their name is not around enough for me to spend my money on them. Sorry for your misfortune and thanks for the "heads up''.

Sorry to hear. I have a 10 year old 10 horse that has run in the rain 8 to 16 hours a day and still running good. Sounds like quality may have fallen a bit, sad if true.

Its true alright! And the attitude is that it has only been two weeks since this exec got wind of it........lol How comforting............been 5 weeks for me

This is a 5 hp 2 stage that I have in my home shop. It is used very little as I run a few businesses and am not always at my home shop.
