Anyone care to tell me what kinda codes (e.g. cowl tag, protecto-plate, etc..) are on my '69 z and where they're located?? I know where the cowl tag is and what the digits/numbers mean, but I don't know where any of the rest of the codes are located. I just purchased this car and it hasn't been trucked in yet. I'm new to the camaros :)

I also heard there may be some documentation inside of the back seat and behind one of the door panels maybe?? I'm not really sure whether to believe that or not. . .

It was a barnyard find.

Also, what are some good restoration catalogs? (e.g. year 1)

first off, welcome to the site!
for the manuals, i would start with these three, of course for the '69 model year.
as for vendors, along the right hand side of the forums page are our site sponsors, a really good place to start for parts and advice. the big boys, aka year one, classic, can't match the customer service you'll receive from our site sponsors!!
the build sheets or documentation as you refer to, could be found under the rear seat, in the rear seat back or atop the fuel tank, that is true. for the code locations, i'm sure one of the '69 owners will respond shortly.
