First off a disclaimer... If you are bored at work and just want to browse some pics of a 67 coming apart, then coming back together, then by all means click away. To be frank, I got sick and tired of sending pics to the in-laws and my dad, and my friends, and co workers, and the photobucket thing was just a pain. So, I made a website that will document the car build. www.cilurso.com (http://www.cilurso.com). Click on the car stuff, unless you are interested in my wife's journey to becoming a large pregnant woman. The site is very immature, but there are a few(70) Camaro pics in various states of dis repair. As I get smarter, it will get better and hopefully make sense and showcase some of the other projects.
The 67 is a plain jane 6cyl car with a nasty big block in it. Many of you might not be fond of the direction of the build, but I wanted something a little more fun to drive, so I've updated all the suspension and brakes. Car will have no badges or trim, an RS nose, shaved front bumper and a pretty aggressive stance on some 17" V40s. I knew I wasn't going stock, so the 6cyl car was perfect, no need to chop up a valuable car. This has been a fun project so far. My last was an 800rwhp 05 Vette, I can honestly say I'm glad I don't have to bust out the laptop to get this one to run. Luckily, the ole big block cleaned up nice, and an internal inspection showed a pretty new build so that will stay there till I break it. I have no idea wht the thing is, it's a 454 block, with a wicked cam. I couldn't convince myself to taking the heads off so I really don't have a clue. Block has no numbers on it, heads are from a 66 360/396 closed chamber. I've built all manner of junk and this one is about 500 horse. 4sp will stay as well until the motor swap, then I will build a 5sp for it. I have fixed the horrible shift box they built into the floor. Is it that hard to find a Camaro shifter? After a while I decided I wanted a very slick paint job, something which I can do, but it is very painful. So, I dropped it off at a good dude in Arvada CO to smooth it out and do the body work. Its coming along and I might have the whole thing done in GASP!!!! under a year.
I'm only listing these to help keep the bored folks at work awake. Lord knows you've done me that favor a bunch.
Again, I appologize for the crappy site, but I'm working at it :)
