Hi guys !

I'd like to have your advice on what rims and tires fit the best on a 69' SS ? :)
I really think the American Racing Torq Thrust II ones are awesome, but I'd like your advice !

Also, can someone tell me what that this second numer stands for ?
15" x 7" ?

The wheel and tire combo's for 69's sticky will give you an idea what the guys are running. I run 17" TTII's, 8's up front with 4.75" bs and 9.5 on the rear with 5.5" bs. Same as what Brian Lewis is showing.

15 x 7 = 15 inch diameter rim x 7 inches wide When shopping for tires they will normally give you a recommended rim width range for best performance

Yeah, I think I'll go for the TT's ones because they fit the best on my image of a 69' SS.
I have this game, called Midnight Club LA, and it has a 69' Camaro SS in it, and the default rims are the following : Tire profile : 70
- tire width 195( front ) and 215 ( back ) but it has no unit ?
Does anyone has any idea what unit it fits ?

So, I found a lot of numbers on the AR site, so maybe someone can
explain ? I've copied an example, so it someone can explain me all those things ? :p
1- Part No.
2- Size
3- Min. Back. Set.
4- Max. Back. Set.
5- Bolt Circle

They are ranked in the same order ;)


1- VN405586142
2- 15x8
3- -5
4- 4.30
5- 5x120.7 (5X4.75)

15X8 means 15" diameter rim, (make sure you have 15" tires) and the 8 is width of wheel between mounting flanges.
-5 means backspace. (see above sticky)
4.3 Backspace??? (odd number)
5X4.75 is five lugs on a 4.75 bolt circle. (Camaro size)

Can you tell me what were the default sizes for a 69' Camaro SS ? Thanks EOE design, I believe, was 14X6 rally wheel. Might check your glovebox door for tire decal if still there.
