Hi all,
I’m just wondering if anyone on here has ever heard of Wegner's Disease. It’s actually called Wegener's granulomatosis. I’m curious to know if anyone has it or has any friends or family members that have it?
I was diagnosed with it about 8 years ago. It’s an autoimmune disease that affects people in different ways. With me it started with sinus infections and then progressed into my kidneys over the years. I was luck to have it diagnosed quickly because my sinus doctor had seen one case when he was younger and he ran a test for it and it came back positive.
I ended up having to have a tracheotomy because it attacked my vocal cords and put a restriction on my breathing. I’ve had the “tube” in my neck for 6 years now. I guess you kind of get used to it after that long…
As of now the meds im on are working and its in remission and things are good.
So I would like to know if any other TC’ers have anybody they know with this disease.
There is some background info here if you would like to read more about the disease.

It’s been a long road I have been down in the past few years. Many things have helped me along the way. One of these was my camaro and the great people I have found on this site! I can tell you when anyone you know comes down with something like this or any other terrible disease the only thing to do is keep positive and surround yourself with good friends and family and you can over come it.
:beers:
