I just built a 406 small block chevy for my 68 camaro. It has 11/1 compresson, brodix pro 8 aluminum heads a comp cam with a 562/557 lift and a 265/276 duration.I have 4.10 rear gears, but I have not picked a transmisson yet I was thinking turb 350 or a powerglide.Does anyone have any recommendations?I was wondering if anyone would know what this car could run in the quarter mile?

Hard to say what it will run but it has the potential to run really well. On the trans, I would go with the 350. I would guess the car will weigh around 3300 unless a lot of weight has been pulled out of it so a three speed trans would probably be better for all around use.

Ditto, go with the TH350 unless the car is very light, like <3000 lbs, and you are willing to run more gear -- like at least 4.56.

As for times, I'd guess low 11's or maybe high 10's -- depends a lot on your chassis setup.
