What u guys think about the after game issue?

That player that punched the other player should be tossed out of college football for ever. He shouldnt even be allow to play in the NFL. That crap right there is what makes players look bad. I mean they already makes tons of money. It goes from players punching each other, to dog fights, to player shooting them selves in the club.

When are people gonna understand that they arent untouchable? Money doesnt buy get out of jail cards.

Blount should be expelled forever for sucker punching the Boise player.

Surprisingly, local (Portland, OR) sentiment is to expel or suspend him. Too bad the police didn't arrest him.

It should have never happened. He should be expelled. He kept going...on and on...what an idiot.

As far as the money that they make...unless he's getting paid under the table (NCAA violation)...he's not making any money.

His future in football looks quite dim...maybe he should get into mixed martial arts fighting?;):beers:

I just wonder what the Boise St player said to him? I can just imagine... as well as what was said by the fans...This does not justify what he did by anymeans but ban him for life? No, counseling and suspend him yes...All he really did was hurt himself, his family, coach and his school. If I was banned for life for every punch I threw...I would still be in jail or out of a job...Anyone ever get in a fight before over a few words spoken? It's not right, but Sh-T Happens...Happens to all of us...

have you guys noticed that before each game that's on t.v., they arrange the teams in the middle of the field so they can yell and point at each other? I can't imagine that guy staying on the team ESPECIALLY for shoving his own player afterwards. What an idiot. I grabbed a guy by the face mask once and got a personal foul... that made me real popular with the coaching staff. Not to mention the extra bleacher work I was assigned.

Forget playing football, Blount should go to jail,..aggravated assault. What a coward,..sucker punching punk. Back to football. Sanctions could come from Oregon-U, the Pac-10, and/or the NCAA. He's in some trouble here.

I missed the punch. I turned off the TV early in the 4th when it was 19 to 8. My eyes were burning looking at that BLUE stuff. That carpet needs to go!

Just before the game he stated in an interview that they (his team) needed to keep their emotions in check. Here is the latest on the Boise news.

Obviously, the NCAA doesn't agree but I think it's a disadvantage to the other team. I played a little QB and we played a team that wore green jerseys. It did make a difference when scanning the field. Can't imagine those blue jerseys hiding against that blue carpet. Back to that idiot: I can't believe they let him do an interview after the game! That coach should have to answer to that. The guy sucker-punches another player and gets to be interviewed on ESPN after the game??? This is worse than when that USC basketball player punched OU's Blake Griffin in the privates going down the court. He didn't even get in trouble for that.

I would still like to know what the guy said to him. I can think of a few things that might have motivated him to swing on the guy.

Why is Oregon football allowed to have 10 different uniform colors? If I were an Oregon citizen I may want to know why the waste of money. If the women's basketball team wanted several uniforms, i'm sure they'd be denied.

It's still possible he gets arrested, if the player he hit presses charges.

With the game he had I can understand his frustration but that temper has to be controlled.

I live in Eugene Oregon, home of the "Ducks" and the consensus here is that Legarrett Blount should GO. Away that is. Whatever the Boise State player said is irrelevant. If he did that anywhere outside the stadium, he would be in the growler for felony assault. What a loser. He made our team/State look like garbage. Anyone watching will be waiting on the outcome, especially impressionable kids.

The duck should be booted...maybe permanently, depending on his past, attitude etc. It is time to quit making excuses for bad behavior and make people be responsible for their actions. It might even be different if he just trotted off into the locker room, but no...he had to go and try to pick a fight with a fan. What an @S$.

Blount should have taken out his ROID RAGE by running over Boise players DURING the game. Goodbye football future and hello Waterboy!

last spring, Stoops kicked a kid off the team for making a YOUTUBE rap song about killing cops. The kid had also got the boot for taking a gun into a high school. He was probably the top reciever in his recruiting class but Stoops did the right thing.

The suckerpunch (followed by a quick and lengthy backpeddle of course) was bad. But that he was wanting to go into the crowd, ala Ron Artest, could've made the situation waaay worse.

I'm curious what the Boise player said too, but IMHO, it really doesn't matter. One bad action doesn't make it OK to take it to the next level and exhibit worse bad behavior. Plus, whatever he said, it wasn't against the law, but assult is. You can't decide to hit someone just because they exercise their right to free speech.

The bottom line IMHO is that the duck broke the law, the Boise guy didn't. If I were coach, he'd be looking for someplace else to spend his time.

Today they said on SportCenter that the oregan player will still be allowed to practice with the team but will not be allowed to play on saturdays now that doesnt make an sence.

He's a senior and by doing so it allows him to keep his scholarship and finish the academic side of his career at the school. As well as hopefully straightening out his anger management issues - lol.

He was taunting the Oregon player after the game was over. Went out of his way to tap him on the shoulder pad and smart off. He got what he deserved, drilled and sent to the ground. Hopefully they both learned a lesson. I bet he doesn't make that mistake again.

Too bad that had happened, it took away the attention of just how well BSU played against a powerhouse PAC10 team. The first half was dominated by the Bronco's and BSU's offense left points out on the field. The second half had it not been full of mistakes could have shifted the momentum back to the Ducks.

The thing I enjoyed was how BSU sacked him in the end zone for a safety. Keep in mind he is the same player that stated that BSU deserved to have their *sses kicked after the loss last year. I was not shocked that he was the one that also threw that sucker punch. I was shocked when he went after the fans in the stands and only police and staff kept him back. Then he shoved an officer! Lucky that charges were not filed for that.

He needed to go. Period.

Who cares about the scholarship? He wont be getting drafted anyhow

That's kinda the point - he can still get a degree with his scholarship and make a career out of it...

Anyway, for what its worth, here's a letter he wrote for the local paper;

http://www.dailyemerald.com/blount-sorry-for-boise-state-1.624096

"Though the incident at Boise State happened before the start of classes, there probably are few members of our University community who are unaware of the images and media reports of my regrettable actions following the Oregon-Boise State football game. There is no justification for my behavior — not the “heat of the moment,” not the “agony of defeat,” and definitely not anything said or done by an opponent.
Being a student-athlete at the University of Oregon should be about being a good student working to positively represent the University and its football program under coach Chip Kelly, and handling both victories and defeats with sportsmanship, class, and character. That night, I used poor judgment and lost self-control. My actions reflected poorly upon my teammates, our football program, and our University. And for this, I offer my sincerest apologies and heartfelt regrets.

On a personal note, I probably will never be able to erase the memories of the post-game events of that day. Given this, I do not expect to be given a second chance to be a positive and responsible member of the football program and of this community. Going forward, what I hope for is the opportunity to show that I am able to earn a second chance as a University student. And if I am so fortunate, I believe that I also will demonstrate that I am a better man and a better human being for having lived through this unfortunate experience.

Sincerely,
LeGarrette Blount"

As far as football, he's practicing for the team and pulling special assignments like pretending to be JBest in practice last week, must have done a good job ;)

I think it shows something that he's still committed to contributing to the team even though he knows he'll never suit up on gameday and won't be entering the draft. There's no room for what he did in the sport, but sucks to see a young guy pay so much for what amounts to 5 minutes of an adrenaline filled 20 y/o tirade. I know I certainly had my moments when I was that young.
