Anybody come up with the perfect solution to water leakage aroung 69 tail light gaskets?? I have heard that aftermarket gaskets are really bad. And mine are definitely leaking.

I'm thinking about re-using the original gaskets and running a bead of Black silicone RTV around both sides of the gasket.... Any thoughts / opinions?

Yes....covered in a thread a few months ago, several pages long...covers all the leack to the trunk, in detail and how to fix...
I use a sponge foam builder sealer strip that is soaked in a tar substance...12mm x 12mm
