Can a Speedometer be repaired? Mine in the 67 RS/SS has quit working, I thought it was the Cable, but it is the Speedo.

I've had mine apart, not much to it, a circular spring and a magnet. It worked better when I put it back together, but it hadn't died completely.
They are reproduced of course.

Everything can be fixed, just depends how much you want to spend.
Google speedometer repair. Lots of places, try to find one local.

My friends owns a speedometer shop that has been in business for probably 40 years. He's fixed half a dozen speedos for me over the last few months. There is more than just taking it apart and cleaning/replacing, I've seen him do one. You actually adjust the magnetism of the magnet with this wierd looking deal that looks like an old telephone. Anyway, he knows what he is doing. If your faceplate is good just get it fixed, the aftermarkets are close but not completely correct. If you would like more info PM me. He is in Colorado Springs, CO.
