: Mystery plug?

I am reassembling under the dash (69 SS w/AC, 4sp) and there is an extra plug hanging down just to the right of the steering column. It is a 2 wire "T" shaped black plastic connector. It has small wires (18 ga.): 1 orange wire and 1 black w/ white stripe wire. There doesn't seem to be anywhere for it to go as I believe I've connected everything. I have replaced the factory AC with Vintage Air, so it could be an old AC plug. I tried to label all the wires, but I guess I forgot one. I've looked at the diagrams in the AIM and still can't find it.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

With an orange wire, could be a courtesy light lpug. Battery voltage all the time, or with another circuit on, aka, ign, lights, etc.?

sounds like it could have been an added wire though the years since its a t shaped connector

Wasn't the radio a t-shaped power connector?

I know on the AAW harnesses, orange and white (old black wire with white stripe) are courtesy connections. Coutesy connection to the center console? Would be about the correct location off of the harness.
The lighter is a single orange wire. Radio, tan and yellow.
