Hi
Could some one give me any info on Muncies. I own 67 rs/ss camaro. I am in process of installing another tranny I bought. The origional tranny is a m21. The replacement is also a m21. The speedo location is different on new one! The origional was installed on the passenger side. The location of new one is in between the linkage. Can I leave as is or do I swap tailshafts. I do not know what is involved with swapping.

Leave the tailshaft housings alone, use the drvr side speedo.

You can't change housings because of the driving gear location on the output shaft is at a different location between the two. Pass side speedo is farther forward than the drvr side speedo.

Thank You Everett
I've left the origional speedo on vehicle. I'm a little concerned with location on new transmission. My origional speedo is routed down the right side. Have you seen muncies with speedo input into tranny between linkages. I'm sorry if these sound like silly questions. First time I have played with transmissions.

Your welcome. Most close-ratio are drvr side and between the linkages.
You can either re-route the cable or get an extension from NAPA, I think they still sell them.
I had a couple like this.
