hey there fellas,

i have been looking into a new distributor and ignition system for my '69, msd products seem to be very popular but what about accel or mallory products. i have also heard a little bit of negative feedback about the pertronix units.

right now i have a mildly built 327 but upgrades to a 383 or 406 are in the works. anyadvise or recomendations would be much appreciated. what works the best for the money? thanx

the msd's are nice....good bang for your buck.
nice to work on i'm told.
don't no much about the mallory stuff.
i'm running a GM HEI distributor...just recurved it.....it was a lot cheaper...went to the auto wrecker.....50.00 i think.
bought a recuve kit 15.00.
it works real good.

I am very pleased with the mallory unilite dist.Ive had it on my 55 for over 2 years without any problems. My cousin runs one on a 84 Z/28 with a 383 small block with a MSD 6AL,runs 660s in the 1/8 mile with no nitrous.
