I would like a different and more aggressive look for my 69 than a cowl.
Don't get me wrong I like the cowl but I'm open to another look.
I would like to see some stingers, pro-touring scoops etc.

on a side note about scoops, is it possible at all to get one of those Butterfly scoops on top of a bb to fit under a stinger hood so if you cut the opening out they would be there ? i think it would be cool but think it would be to tall since most stick out the top of most hoods

Seriously though, what scheme are you leaning towards with your Camaro? Pro tour, resto mod, custom, stock? Then I could have a better idea of what would go and what would clash or stick out.

Dave: what is the color scheme of your car? stripes? That's something you'll need to take into account also. As much as I like the stinger look, it keeps me from putting rally stripes on the car, which I really like.

if you're wantng to beef up your hood, that should do it. Doesn't mean you get to see out your windshield but hey, you can't
have it all.

As for the Stinger hood and a blower hat .... I don't think it's going to happen as I have a SB and a Vic Jr. intake... leaves about 4-5" from carb neck to hood.

Doug G. I like that alot, don't know how it would look with my paint scheme.
I did a search and only found a beater with 2 ugly dull black stripes with the stinger hood.
I would really like to see a nicely done one with stripes.

Talked to frank at Prodigy about his stinger hood, looks killer but doesn't work well with Z stripes, too bad.

Nice. I like the stinger alot, I'd really like to see one with stripes, but I would also like to see a L88 hood, maybe, a Dana style hood on a 69. Maybe some louvers. Any others?

Dave- that's the only negative about the stinger hood. there's really no way I thought of to add stripes. even if you put stripes over the nose or down the side, it starts looking pretty busy.. unless you paint the stinger the same color as the rest of the hood, like the red '68 above. I may go that rout with black, putting a silver stripe over the nose.

I agree, I have seen some cars with just the scoop minus the stinger bump in front and thought that maybe a way to make the stripes work. But I would like to see it prior to the commitment of paint.
