: '67 RS diode dash and fuse block hardware question......2 for 1 post!!

I am putting in a new underdash harness on my '67 RS convertible. First the harness did not come with the screws for the fuse block. Rick's has them in their catalog but they are discontinued. I guess I could use a 5/16 hex head maybe 2 1/2 inches long? That is just a guess and was hoping to get some insight here on what I can use.

Also since my car is an RS car, I assume I will need a RS underdash (diode) harness as well. All of the wiring on my car was out of it when I got it. The reason why I ask this is because NPD's catalog has the harness but states that you need if if you are doing a RS conversion(which I am not). Rick's catalog just has the underdash RS harness listed with no mention of a conversion. I tried to do a search on this forum and is looks like I will need the harness but since the search function is messed up I can't find what I am looking for. If I remember correctly the AIM calls for the diode harness. I did find in the AIM how to wire it (diode harness). Looks like I may have to cut some wires to get this to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

thanks

Brandon, I have an origional uncut RS harness, console, no guages in my 67. If you are asking where the RS diode harness needs to be spliced I may be able to help you but I will have to crawl under my dash to do so. It seems unfortunate that a brand new harness would need to be cut to accept the add-on. Your new harness is not supplied with a connector to accept the optional RS pigtail?

The new underdash harness is still in the AAW bag and after reviewing the AIM (pg. 409 Z22 B8). I realized that I will NOT have to cut anything. It simply shows a plug in on the Wire ASM-Ext. I should have looked at the AIM more closely before I posted.:clonk:
