: TA Performance Exaust
NHRA1877 Aug 4th, 03, 05:34 PM Hey guys, i had some trouble fitting my other mufflers under the car, so they are now up on ebay, and I just ordered the 3in exaust kit with flowmaster 40 series and an H-pipe from TA Performance, they have an add in the back of all the car maggazines. Has anyone used this system? It seems to be a nice system and the people were very nice. I just wanted to know if anyone had anyfeed back on their systems?
P.S. If anyone needs a set of BRAND NEW Dynomax ultraflow SS mufflers check on ebay

Lonnie67 Aug 5th, 03, 01:01 PM I have that same TA 3" system, I don't have the H-pipe though different mufflers. It could not fit any better, very impressed. It is heavy though, the box with the pipes, no mufflers, weighed almost 75lbs.
NHRA1877 Aug 5th, 03, 04:16 PM Cavemanmoron,
Yep thats my auctuion, does it sound good to you, i haven`t gotten any bids yet, also do you think the price is fair, i also have collectors, exaust cut outs and an H-Pipe, all 2.5 in for sale all together. Im not trin to advertise my ad or ne thin i was just verifying that one was mine.
Lonnie67,
So you are happy with the system? thats good i liked the looks of it, i was going to go with the flowmaster system, but it was 2.5 inch and i liked this system. Im just hoping it comes soon
CamaroNOTcamero Aug 5th, 03, 05:14 PM Scott,
Why flowmasters?
What was the problem with the dynomax mufflers specifically?
NHRA1877 Aug 5th, 03, 06:07 PM i really liked the dynomax mufflers, howeverthe way we wanted to mount them, my dad didn`t like how the one fit on the passenger side, and origionally we wanted 3in, but we got them from a favor from a friend, so we couldn`t return them, so when we didn`t like the ft he decided to just get a whole new system. I wanted something quiet, and as much as i always said i would never get flowmasters cause everyone has them. Well lets just face it THEY SOUND GREAT!!!! i never got to hear the dynomax`s, but my dad fronted the money for me so i took what he gave me, i wanna change over eventually to dynomax`s or borlas, but for now the flows are fine. If they do slow the car down or what not that will be ok cause i need to stay at 12.00 for street and i may be right on the verge of that now, so if i can slow it down a little, thats fine.
The weekend of labor day my dad is gonna race on sunday at E-Town, then we are heading out to maple grove for a rainged out 10 grander, maybe i`ll see ya at e-town that weekend.
Also i have some exaust pieces on ebay, they might be good for you`re car, 3in-2.5in reducers, exaust cut outs, and and H-Pipe, Cheep too.
NHRA1877 Aug 5th, 03, 06:10 PM sorry for all the spelling errors, i should start reading my posts before i send them graemlins/thumbsup.gif
coach420 Aug 6th, 03, 07:11 AM NHRA,
What was the fitment issue on the passenger side?
NHRA1877 Aug 6th, 03, 07:49 AM Im sure they can be made to fit, but the mufflers are about 19 inches long i think, on the floorboards before the rear end, it recesses up, what we were doing was putting the muffler up there and putting muffler turndowns on the end of the muffler, the drivers side fit very nicly, however on the passenger side the muffler needed to go towards the drive shaft a little more, we would have had to have a different pipe comming from the H-pipe so that it would bring the muffler towards the driveshaft, so it actually would have ended up fitting ok. Now that i think back on it, the mufflers could have fit i think. However we were a little annoyed at the time so my dad offered to lend me the money for the fulle exaust, the main reason for that was these mufflers were 2.5 inch, and since we got them from a friends doing us a favor, i couldn`t return them, so we bought everything to make a 2.5 inch system, so when we had the little problem with the pipes, i think we just decided to got with a full 3in exaust. Im sure they will fit, and if any of you are interested in buying them, let me know, i can give you the full dementions and take some pictures. I think the price of 200 is fair for those mufflers, and i KNOW 50 bucks is GREAT for the price in my other auction. I heard the mufflers retail for 140 a piece? do you guys think 200 was a fair price??
NHRA1877 Aug 6th, 03, 03:05 PM does anyone have an opinion on the price i set for my mufflers? 200....?
CamaroNOTcamero Aug 6th, 03, 04:47 PM Scott,
The $150 looks good to me, i cant afford any exhaust components now, i have to catch up to some other things first.
Thanks for the offer though.
NHRA1877 Aug 6th, 03, 05:02 PM hey brian, whens that small block gonna be done? Maybe if you run points at E-Town next year we`ll be racing agenst each other. "The team camaro battles at E-town" lol. If they don`t sell i`ll prolly hang onto them for a while so if you ever get some spare change just let me know.
CamaroNOTcamero Aug 7th, 03, 01:44 AM Scott,
The engine itself is finished, it's waiting at work. I have to pay for the machine work that Paul helped me with and then i take it home.
I'm hoping that i'll be bringing it home at the end of the month, we'll see.
I've had a few set backs as the battery, alternator and distributor all took a cr@p between last week and this week, lol, so i had to spend some money there.
