I took 4 pic's of my Hurst Competition Plus shifter bolted to the plate that attaches it to the Muncie.
Does anyone recognize this setup? I am not sure if the plate is correct and wondering if anyone out there has a pic of their setup/or do you recognize if this is correct. It's in a 69 that has a BB and correct motor mt's, stands and 4 speed crossmember. I know the BB/drivetrain is set 1 inch to the Rt and some pic's I have seen of the aftermarket bracket show 2 small extension ears that may push the shifter to the left, maybe to compensate for the way the drivetrain is set in place.
Thx

It doesn't look like the right mounting bracket or the factory BB Hurst shifter set up. Look on ebay and serch BB 69 Camaro Hurst shifter mounting bracket. You should find a repo that will look correct. All factory 69 Hurst shifters have the chrome handle that slides into a pocket and snaps in place. Yours bolts to the the main body.

The mounting plate you have is Hurst part #195-7773, mainly used on 1964-72 Chevelles W/Muncie, and some other applications... But NOT a 1969 Camaro, or any Camaro...
The reverse lever looks like a 1969-74 Corvette W/Muncie...
Hope this helps... Crash

The 69 Camaro Hurst aftermarket shifter mount plate is the same for BB and SB.
The OEM 69 Camaro Hurst shifter mount plate is not the same for BB and SB.

Your shifter looks ok but looks like you can use a new 69 Camaro Hurst installation kit.
It has all the rods, trans arms, mt plate, etc.

I learned my lesson on this one. If you do not know your part numbers with absolute certainty, don't take anybody's word for it on ebay. This setup was advertised for a BB 4 speed setup, and it does mount on the tranny as the pics show. But I have seen many posts on the shifter position in the tunnel coming through the console that don't line up. Thats the situation here. Thx for the input. I will try the Comp plus install kit.
