I have a 1997 Camaro and I have gutted the Cat. Now I am throwing a catalyst code but I don't want to put a new cat in place. I have heard there is a way to trick the computer to think that the cat is working properly. What is it and where can I get it?
Thanks,
Sam

Take a look at summitracing.com and see if they still carry the O2 similators. I got a pair for 5.7 there years ago after I put the long tube headers on and they work great ever since. Now I've got a 99 with the LS motor and 4 O2 sensors. These plugged in to replace the 2 AFTER cat sensors and work great. I only put about 3k miles on the car a year though, don't know how they would hold up in real weather, snow salt, etc... I've passed emissions several times since then without a hiccup.
If Summit doesn't carry a set for you, try googling it and see if there is anyone else out there, good luck with it.

You can have the rear o2's deleted out of the pcm by any LT1 custom tuner. I assume you have a Z28?

If you have a 6 cyl then the o2 simulators previously mentioned are your only option I think.
