My Uncle found this pic in some of his stuff, said he owned it back in 74 (Burlington, MA) but couldn't remember what engine, all he remembered was that is was blue, with white top and white interior and RS of course.

I didn't notice the first time I looked but looks like an endura front bumper too.

Does the fact that it doesn't look like it has the hood grilles mean it's probably not a big block car or an SS?

It was the early 70's I believe it could have been a dead fox or racoon, my grandparents had alot of trouble with them up there in MA. It looks like some sort of "Moon" doll or something on the dash as well. Who knows...

The fact that it has RS on the grille makes me think it a base coupe with Z22 option, all others options (SS Z/28) would would override that emblem in the grille. I think Unc remembers, just won't admit to driving a 6 cyl:)

Would you admit it??? LOL

For sure he would have mentioned having it to me a long time ago if it were an SS or Z. LOL

Those look like factory DX1 stripes to me. Probably original Dusk Blue paint. Looks like it has rally's too.

I don't think you could get a stacks hood with the DX1 stripe from the factory, too bad though, it might look sharp with the stripe flaring around them.

Zoom in on engine emblem, driver's side. Could that be a 3 showing?

Al, it appears to be a standard flat hood in the picture to me, which would be supported by the lack of an SS emblem in the grille. And actually, I think it was possible to delete the standard D91 stripe on an SS and order the DX1. I have seen at least one car done that way in one of the Camaro Recognition Guides, and I'm pretty sure it was a big block RS/SS car - hugger orange with black DX1 stripes. You could order just about any combination back then if you knew what buttons to push. That is what makes restoring them so interesting today.

Tom, I guess some buttons could and were pushed back in the day as witnessed by the famous '68 Z28 vert. I was relying on the first gen RPO sheet which shows the DX1 stripe was N/A with SS or Z28. http://www.camaros.org/pdf/options.pdf
