I have a small block 69 rs/ss, I just re-built the engine, and am looking to free up some extra horses, I know that If i replaced the water pump and the fan with electric ones that would do me some good, I found two good water pumps, one is by Aerospace Industries, it flows 40 gpm and another by Meziere that flows 37 gpm, does anyone have one of these water pumps? Also does anyone know of a good electric fan that can replace my stock fan and cool just as well or better. In case you need to know I have a brand new 3-row stock style radiator.

Make sure that the water pump is designed for continious use, many aren't.

Robby,
I used a 1985 Z-28 electric fan on my 67 SUper Pro car for many years. The fan comes complete with a nice plastic shroud and fits the first generation cars with only minor modifications. I had to make two bottom brackets for the shroud to sit in. With that fan and a Moroso electric water pump drive, I could not make the thing run hot if I wanted. This was a 10sec small block car. If you can find one in the junkyard it will work great and looks like it came on the car. The Moroso electric pump drives are not meant for street use so I can't offer any suggestions there.
Hope this helps,

This car is an every day car. The pumps both have 2000hr. seal life expectancy. Thats a lot of driving. Though my car is a daily driver, its not so daily, i only go places on the weekends. We use those moroso drives on our race cars as well, they work good for the track, but not on the street, I have an 11 second 63nova SS that has a stock radiator and one of those pump drives and its about 200 degrees by the end of a pass. My bro. has an 87 iroc chassis car that runs 8's and he has an aluminum radiator and a CSI pump that pulls about 30gpm and it stays pretty cool. Anything else I need to list, please let me know.
