I've looked through all the factory manuals I have and none of them show any wiring schematics for the radio or tape player. After owning the car, 69Z, for 22 years I finally sent the tape player off and got it repaired. In the process I had to cut the harness and now am looking for some technical assistance. Anybody know of or have a wiring schematic for this?

Are you looking for the color/gauge of the wires? I see in the AIM alot of info on the console player but no specific wire info
The chasis manual has info on the radio wires in their diagrams.

What is the AIM you are referring too? I'm looking for a schematic of the tape player/radio. I am in the process of re-connecting the wires but there are some there are four black wires with white stripe that I think are grounds but not sure if they have to be mated up with a specific match or can be randomly connected. Also I have a green wire with a fuse link hanging off the back of the radio harness that is disconnected. The radio works and there is power going to the tape player. I'll know more when I finish soldering the wires up.

I wonder if the 4 wires are the speaker wires. Do they run back to the fuse box? Where do they go.
The AIM is the factor Assembly Instruction Manual. Actually on UPC (U57) A4 is some info on the wiring. This is a 68.
green is a fade control

Do a search on my name and "8-track" you will find a Mid 2001 or so post that has all the wire colors and connectors in it.
