Mike,
If you have a set of normal hand tools such as socket wrenches, screw drivers etc. You can do it your self. Check this forum and you will find a few threads on how to do it.

Whats wrong with it? You have to take it out anyway so why not replace it with a new one? Is the car a matching #'s show car?

It's not a numbers matching car, but I wanted to see what it would cost to repair it. Rather than replace it. A new one is about $180.00.
I don't know what is wrong with it. I can't get the correct reading on it with an ohm meter.

Mike...I think we're talking about the wrong part here cause a fuel sending unit for a camaro is about $45 give or take a few bucks. I just bought one for my big block with a return line in it for $45 from http://www.rightstuffdetailing.com/
Check it out and good luck

Thanks Gary,
I checked out Right Stuff's web site and found the part I need at a very good price.
NPD and Rick's wanted a lot more.
Thanks again,
Mike

Your welcome Mike...I was just looking on ebay just incase I screwed up and gave you the wrong info. Its been a while since I bought mine. They are on ebay for around $40. The one I have from the Right Stuff is stainless 3/8 and has a return if I needed one. Maybe the $180 price tag you have seen included the tank ??? Still on the high side if you ask me.
The Right Stuff deals mainly with brakes and fuel. They are great people to deal with and their support is fantastic.
Good luck
