I have a noise only while stopped at a light. Sounds like its coming from under the horse shoe shifter. Sounds like a wobbly drive shaft and goes away when I am moving. Ideas?
Tork converter shot?

Could be a bad U-joint. Should be no movement on the two yokes in any direction.

From what I read: He's STOPPED at a Light with an Automatic - Drive shaft doesn't turn and no throwout bearing ;o)
Also possible bent Dust Cover rubbing FlyWheel and as you say possible something wrong with the converter but if the car is working OK I would not think so.
I've heard some Aluminum Drive Shafts make some strange Resonate Sounds while car is stopped and at Idle.
It may also be associated with your exhaust system touching the frame or your tranny mount going, loose cross member or parking brake lines vibrating, worn Shifter Boot rubbing, loose Tranny Filler Tube ... etc

Since this is a convertible, first thing I'd check is clearance between the exhaust and the subframe X brace. It's a common place for hitting and most folks just take the brace off an toss it... don't. The brace is important for convertibles. If you need more clearance then buy the Hotchkiss X brace as it'll clear up to a 3" exhaust.

A bad u-joint cant make noise when its not moving -said the noise goes away when he starts moving. Flexplate could be culprit they make weird noises

Patrick, lots of places to look. Make a list from the above posts and put your car on a hoist that uses the wheels to lift the car. Then duplicate your noise condition and start searching from under the car. Yeah, just like we 'wrenches'.
