Who makes them?

Hotchkis makes some nice ones. As well as a nice X brace.

Global West also makes them.

I just put the Hotchkiss SFC's in my 68 vert and couldn't be happier. The fit was perfect and they tuck up really nice and tight to the floor boards. They do need to be welded in just so you know. I also installed their X-brace which is a far cry better than the stock brace. Go for the package deal and you save a few $$.

Also check out DSE, they are weld-in's but man are they awesome!

Just search "Hotchkis" in the vert forum; there are threads with pics of them installed (I think mine and more than one car Frank at Prodigy has done). Many of those same threads have discussions about the other kinds of connectors for verts and their pros/cons.
