Needs glass...

More than surface rust here...

I would never buy without seeing the car in person and pictures usually hide more than they show... There is major rust in the sail panels and under the vinyl top. The interior needs major work and the seller saying the brakes need adjusting means a complete brake job IMO... The fact that the car is in WA state and the trunk and other pic's show moisture my guess is that thing is water logged and if it sat in the AZ desert for a month it would blow away...

If you do body and paint work and were looking for a project car this might be it if it stays at it's current price.

It doesn't look like a real RS either - tailpan has no backup lights - vacuum canister is missing (could be changed to electric...) just odd.

From the looks of the pics, it is a major body job in the waiting, not to mention all of the areas you will not see until you get it taken down. If you are prepared for that then ok, but this one is major. A paint job will not fix it.

$8K :noway:
Look at the photos http://s539.photobucket.com/albums/ff356/TeddyMuchwano/

No way is it worth that much.... Floors look 1" thick with undercoating, trunk rusted... not to mention what Dennis posted. Now if it had paperwork and was a rare car... maybe... but at tens of thousands in repairs.

It also has '67 RS tail lights. I don't like it, very odd.

wow thanks again i am so glad to be a member here so i can listen to the subject matter experts before i do something stupid.. i have been looking for another 1st generation camaro as my 67 has a "salvaged california title", i bought it years ago and all she needed was a fender and a ball joint, the car looks really good but that title will always follow it..

i dont know for myself looking thats now the 3rd car now that is either a "rust bucket" or a car that im told by the owner wouldn't make it on any long distance... I contacted the seller to get some additional information he told me he thinks the engine was rebuilt 3 yrs ago, in the add it specifically states rebuilt 3 yrs ago? he says the previous owner told him that it was rebuilt but he doesnt have any documents at all and he couldnt even tell me what transmission thecar had, i.e power glid, Turbo hydomatic 350 or 400 he had no idea ..

In follow-up to what you guys are saying about it being a real RS the selelr says he has to open the lights by hand at night? but he has some vacumm stuff he bought?

RUN! There's no way I would pay that much. Looking at those pics, you would
have to strip the car have it multi blasted, maybe new metal in some places,
then a paint job. Your talking a lot of money. I have seen some 68's up here in
Michigan going for $24,000 thats already done and really nice, you'll have more
than that into it.

There are ways to "clean" a title I would think... but could be a real pain and/or $$$

Heater hose is looped back to engine,Bad heater core? Looks like a windsheild crack, Usually an indication of rust under windsheild frame. If this was my car I would strip it down , have it blasted and replace alot of metal.

personaly...I like the throttle return spring hooked to the Radiator hose:thumbsup:
I would look else where as this car has had a hard life and a lot of issues are being covered up with an In N Out paint job.
If your into a full restoration then maybe but I would look at in person first to see what your up against.Today's market 6K tops sight unseen.

This car reminds me of a well known expression... Run Forest, RUN! You can do much better, just be patient

WoW in respect some of members posts are kind of funny,

heater hose looped back to the engine and throttle return spring hookedto the radiator hose lol..

I called the owner and he really sounds out of it and i could barely get a casual converstaion out of him in regards to the vehicle.
