Sorry I have NO pictures!!

I found a 67 vette 435hp two top vert. Two owners, current owner got it in late 68 with 8k miles. car now has just over 30 k. Car has born with drive line. 4spd, 4:11 car has tank sticker. Ps qp was fixed a while ago, over all body and paint is a 7ish. He was kinda mad that I notice it in his garage and stopped to ask about it, but after alittle bullsh**in he warmed up. He said he never thought of selling it . But just as I was leaving he came up and said do some research and make him a offer. I think he knows what a restored one goes for from some of the talking.. Any ideas on a value in this market? thanks in advance:thumbsup:

hmm have you checked NADA http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHome.aspx?LI=1-28-0-5000-502-504-50005&l=1&w=22&p=0&f=5003

Click at the top for classic cars, im sorry i hate vettes .. lol.. wouldnt be surpirzed though if it was a very orbit high figure lol.. there is no way an owner has that bugger and has no idea what its worth, probally just wants you to come back and tell him so he can keep that envy inside ... the thought in itself is priceless, lol.. "he has got to be a millionaire" !!!!!

A 435 horse 67 Vette is the about the top vette to own. I believe there are several 435 hp designations. I think an L72(not sure) was a 435 hp car as well as the L88 and L89. If it is an L88 then it is worth a mint because I think they only made like 19 of them or something and was seriously underated at 435 hp. It was more like 550 or something crazy GM never said what it really was. Go to the Corvette Forum.com and ask over on that site. Unless its a basket case it is going to be big money, in fact a 67 BBC basket case is going to be big money even in this economy. It might even be worth more money as a survivor car than a nut and bolt restoration. "Survivors" seem to be the new thing these days.

As far as determining value you will need some pics, plus all the casting numbers and some one who knows what they are looking at. The corvette forum has folks over there that will tell you the real value on those things. Which BBC engine is in there is going to be the key to determining what it is really worth. Anyways I am not sure what the market is doing right now, but a 435 hp vette, especially a 67 was one that was going over 100k on regular basis a couple of years ago at some of the big auctions.

An L88 would be easy to spot - aluminum heads, 850 carb and special hood. Was seriously under rated at 430 hp. The L72 us an iron headed version, single carb rated at 425 hp. 435 hp would be the L71 427 and this would be very easy to spot with tri-power intake. Rarer version of this was L-89, same engine as L71 with aluminum heads.

As stated, L-88 would be worth the most but all are extremely valuable if original. Recommend going to Corvette Forum for opinions. Prices for this car could rival COPO Camaros.
