Its been awhile since I have posted on here. Our first child has been keeping us quite busy lately. Not much free time to do anything. But some friends pitched in and rented a local track for the day and I was able to make some passes on this new motor, converter and rear.
I was happy with the results and thought I would share them since alot of you helped me put this motor together.

Car weighed in at 3400 lbs. Full trim and interior.
Motor is a 11:1 385 with a scat forged rotating assembly with 6' H beams.
AFR 210's out of the box. Jessel shaft system with 1.6s
Comp 630-630 264-270 @50 and I believe it was on a 106*
HP 950 on a brodix intake.
T-350 with a 4000 9" converter.
430 9" rear.
First pass was a 11.08 @123 with a 1.53 60' not to shabby and I was quite pleased!
I made 4 passes and could not get it any faster. My second run was 11.09 at 123. I pulled a plug and thought they looked lean. Jetted up 3 jet sizes and raised the timing from 34 to 36 and went a 11.10 with same mph. 4th pass was 11.11, again @123. I think as the day went on it got hotter and more hummid. The best run 11.08 in the morning 72* and last durring the hotter air 80*. I think I can knock into the 10's with some cooler air?
I am shifting the car at 7-7200 rpm thru first and second and going thru the traps at 6900 to 7k.
I also tried launching on the converter and off. This changed my 60' but not much at all. They were anywhere from 1.52 to 1.54
Car has Cal tracs and I ran a 28x9 MT slick.
How can I gain an easy tenth?
Thanks again.
Oh, I guess I will be needing a cage soon!

WOW congratulations on that and an easy 10.s coming soon. It would be nice to loose a 100lbs...

Nice man! I think it could really use an 8" converter. That should get you easy 1.4 60 foots and your high 10's.

I guess this would be one of the cheapest, easiest ways, other than pulling weight out of the car.

Dang, can you say consistent?!!!

123 mph every time, and 11.08, 9 ,10. You can win some money with those times.

Congrats!!

Thanks guys. I will probably give it a run before the season is over. Try and catch a cool evening. My converter was set up for the street. So its not as loose as it could be. Consistent......extreamly. It almost seemed impossible since I had to watch my tack for shifts. I dont have a shift light. It has electric fans on it. Mechanical water pump. I am sure the Vintage Air front runner set up probably is setting it back but how much I dont know. Exhaust is 3" into flowmasters with turn downs.
A cold air kit could do it! The cool fuel can would too.

The cheapest and easiest way would be to change the oil. Try some 0W30 syn.

Awesome congrats man makes me excited about what mine will run. Very very similar engine just a slightly larger cam than me.

It won't take much if anything to push it into the 10's just the right day.

Congratulations! Consistency is the key - and you have it, but why go faster? The same answer as mountain climbers give - because its there.

You jetted up and slowed down alittle. Did you jet down in size?

I agree with all suggestions, losing weight is free. Lower oil viscosity, cooler air temperature, high barometer reading, lower vehicle height, alternator cutout switch, remove trunk spoiler, plus more.

Have you tried short shifting 1st to 2nd ?
