Alright I have decided after multiple changes monthly, weekly, daily that I will finally go with RED for my 68 CAMARO.

Can anyone reccomend a good red? My buddy saw a HOK Brandywine that he thought was awsome, but I think it is too marronish and not what I'm going for on this camaro. I would like a nice Brilliant Red..some have suggested HOK BLUE BLOOD, which is a bluish red rather than a yellowish red...has anyone used this or have pictures..??

Please post your pictures of red vehicle and a paint code if you have them or name of color etc/brand...

I vote for a correct 1968 GM Matador Red, however, Porsche has some great colors as well.

I vote for a correct 1968 GM Matador Red, however, Porsche has some great colors as well.

The porsche red is incredible....it's called Guards red dupont #027.Mostly on the older porschs's..looks awesome on just about anything and certainly would look awesome on a 1st gen.

I am kind of partial to GM Torch red. In some light it is almost an orange. My car should be matator red.

I painted my GTO (1995 Mustang Cobra red.) Absolutely red with not even a hint of orange if that's the type red you are going for.

I've got a red for ya. I searched and searched like u are now for months for a red for mine. i was looking for a pure red.. no oranges, yellow or any other sort of color. Just a pure pure red. Finally found one. but dont laugh its a Hyuandi color. PM me for Pics.......

2nd torch red i painted my iroc that color. does look orange thats why i liked it.

if you do a search on cranberry red you will see some better pics

check out the red '68 FRED GIBB car (with stinger hood) on a thread I started called IS THIS TOO BUSY in this same forum. I don't know what it's called but someone might. There's not much about that car I don't like, actually.

How about the Corvette Monterey Red....(red jewel tint)....That's what I'm going to put on my 67 vert. Expensive as hell though!!!

I went with a "new" Chevy color that's available on the new Camaro's called "Super Red". It's in PPGs book under that name.

Mazda has what they call a true red!! It is awesome to see on muscle cars!!.i have a 67 ss chevelle that is painted gm corvette torch red, i love it ..it pops in the sun..

Check out Cobalt Red...its used on the 2005 Corvettes (and several other models). It is more of a blood red.

Mine is Viper red. No pics but search and you can find it. It is bright red. Looks awesome.

On my 69 I put victory red and olimpic white on the rally stripes , its very red and very white

I am fixing to paint my 67 Red. That is the name, it's a 1967 GM color.
PPG- MTK70704 C, it has 6 colors in the mix and 3 of them are red.
If you have a good relationship with your paint supplier, have them mix you a red out of pure red pigment. I have done this with other colors, it makes a very bold color.

I painted my 67 Porche Guards Red, a few of my friends think it's orange. It depends on the light.
