Hey, Paint pros...
How soon can I begin to repair an area that has developed solvent pop? What I am asking is...Does the paint have to cure a certain amount of time before sanding off the bubble? How can I tell which layer caused the problem? (DP90, filler, primer or base coat.) Will filler cause a solvent pop if it hasn't cured all the way?
I think I understand what the bubbles are from. Most likely, I just got in a hurry and didn't let the coats flash off long enough before applying the next coat. This was using Duplicolor BC CC rattle cans for the color. ( I couldn't justify the cost of having paint mixed for a small repair to an older car.) The color blended nicely and actually matches quite well!!
Any advice?.....Thanks, Jb
